Ms. Price is President of the NoMa Business Improvement District. NoMa is a rapidly developing neighborhood in DC adjacent to the New York Avenue Metro just north of Union Station and Capitol Hill. Over 20 million sf of new office, residential, hotel and retail development are planned or under construction. The NoMa BID supports the area’s economic revitalization by (1) providing clean and safe services, (2) marketing the area and (3) coordinating public and private investment. The BID is a private, non-profit with an annual budget of $1.6 million funded by assessments on commercial property.

Prior to joining the NoMa BID, Ms. Price was actively involved for several years in the revitalization of the Anacostia Waterfront. As a Vice President of the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation, she oversaw the national search for a development partner for the Southwest Waterfront, a 50-acre, 2 million sf mixed use redevelopment project. While serving under the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, Ms. Price worked on public financing negotiations and oversaw several waterfront projects including the pre-development planning for Hilleast, a 65-acre redevelopment of a former hospital and government campus. As a Development Manager at the National Capital Revitalization Corporation she oversaw planning, acquisitions, leasing and business operations for the Southwest Waterfront.

At the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Ms. Price served as a special assistant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary responsible for the HOPE VI program, a $4 billion Federal grant program that redevelops severely distressed public housing projects into mixed income communities. Ms. Price received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton. Ms. Price lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two children.
