NoMa BID Assessment

Land, parking lots, industrial properties and properties with fewer than 50,000 square feet are assessed at the rate of $0.05 per hundred dollars ($100) of the prior year’s assessed value.

Office buildings and other commercial properties in excess of 50,000 square feet (except residential and hotel properties) are assessed at the rate of $0.15 per rentable square foot.

Residential properties of ten units or more are assessed at the rate of $120 per unit annually. Residential properties with fewer than ten units are not be subject to the BID tax.

Hotels are assessed at $90 per room.

Assessments are paid twice a year, in the fall and in the spring.
