Washington, D.C., April 30, 2013 – The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) opens in NoMa today. Congresswoman Norton moved her primary District office to 90 K Street, NE, Suite 100, at the corner of First and K Streets, NE, just a few blocks north of Union Station. The office is operational as of 9 a.m. this morning.
“We’re delighted Congresswoman Norton chose to locate her new constituent services office in NoMa,” said Robin-Eve Jasper, President of the NoMa Business Improvement District. “As one of the most important leaders in the success of NoMa, we are pleased to welcome her and her staff to the neighborhood.”
The new phone number at the office, which serves all residents of the District of Columbia with congressional constituent services, is (202) 408-9041, and the fax number is (202) 408-9048. Norton had to move the office because of new requirements from the administration and the Congress that compel agencies, including congressional district offices, to adopt smaller work spaces for employees in order to save federal funds. The previous location in the National Press Building, at 529 14th Street, NW, Suite 900, will no longer serve as an office for Norton.
