Washington, D.C., November 1, 2010 – The retail momentum continues in NoMa, with the recent signing of Roti Mediterranean Grill at Constitution Square. The 2,386-square-foot space fronts First Street, NE, and sits between Potbelly Sandwich Works, which opened in September, and Tynan Coffee and Tea, an independent coffee shop that opens in November. Roti will open by early 2011.
StonebridgeCarras’ Constitution Square is now bustling with activity, which will only increase by the end of the year. Constitution Square will shortly have more than 70,000 square feet of retail space opened bringing thousands of retail customers a day to NoMa.
- Georgetown Valet opens soon on N Street, NE.
- TD Bank, which is open every day of the week, opens December 2.
- Harris Teeter opens December 7.

The first phase of Constitution Square, delivering throughout 2010, totals 1.6 million SF of mixed-use space located adjacent to the New York Avenue Metro station at First and M Streets, NE. One Constitution Square pre-leased all of its 330,000 SF of office space to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for headquarters swing space. Two Constitution Square pre-leased all of its 575,000 SF of office space to GSA for Department of Justice offices. In addition to the 80,000 square feet of street-level retail space, the first phase also includes The Flats 130, a residential building with 440 apartments, and a 204-key Hilton Garden Inn Hotel that opens in April. The Flats 130 just opened in October and already has commitments for 10 percent of its 440 units.
NoMa is a mixed-use neighborhood north of Massachusetts Avenue and the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Between 2007-2009, private developers have invested more than $1.5 billion in the 35-block area covered by the NoMa BID, and have plans to develop more than 20 million square feet of office, residential, hotel, and retail space over the next 15 years.
