Washington, D.C., November 11, 2008…YWCA USA has signed a purchase agreement with J Street Development and its partner for approximately 9,400 square feet, including the entire 11th floor, at 111 K Street, N.E. in the NoMa (North of Massachusetts Avenue) area of downtown Washington, D.C. YWCA USA will join The Sierra Club and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrations (NASPA) at this new Class A office condominium, which is now 60 percent committed and under construction for delivery in 2010.111 K Street is a contemporary Class A office condominium, with 90,000 square feet on 11 floors. The all-glass Gensler-designed structure will feature significant “green” elements, including a striking rooftop terrace that also serves as an element of the storm water management plan, energy-efficient building system, and locally-sourced and recycled building materials. Other features include nine-foot ceilings, shared conference facilities, underground garage parking, a landscaped roof terrace, and views of the U.S. Capitol.
